So yesterday, I went to a friend's place for a lesson in needle binding, the viking equivalent of knitting or crocheting. I have always loved the way it looked, but it also looked super difficult. However, once I got started, it really isn't that hard.
I made a cylinder at first as a test, and now I just finished my first sock and am very excited! I am very pleased with it as a first try, and I am sure it will only improved from here on. The stitches are York-style.

Ewensir, costumes from long ago
This dress was made in 2013 for a scenario called "Ewensir". I never posted the pictures, because I didn't think they were good enough, but I the dress is too big now, so I will never get to take better pics.
So enjoy as best you can ;)

Battle of the Suitors, part 2
For the Battle of the Suitors, I did not only make embroideries on my own costume, so here are a few more pictures of my handiwork.
I made a wyrm, an Odin's Mask, and the Valknut; symbol of the Norse Gods. I did not make the costume, only the embroidery :)
